OLDBIRD, THE HAMMER FEMALE 17 ZHADRAH GANG MEMBER ; "LITTLE BIRD" BISEXUAL | a p p e a r a n c e _______________________________ Androgyny has never looked so good. Noelle certainly has a hell of a sense of style, that's for sure--green is the most prevalent color on her body. Every bit of clothing she owns is adorned with a soft lime green and a darker shade of near-blue. Various slogans and buttons hang on her clothing, giving her a rather eclectic appearance not dissimilar to that of Elliot Hanover, who serves as Noelle's mentor. Pins protrude from the green tie she has on at all times and a chain hangs from the pocket of her jeans. In her cap, a psuedo-deerstalker sort of affair, there is a button upon which is an effigy of a sharp-toothed smiling face, and her belt is a mishmash of various colors--oh yes, Noelle took a big old page from Elliot's book. Noelle stands at the rather large six feet tall--tall for a girl, but she's smaller than her boss, Helen. She's fit and lean and has a fighter's build to her; muscles and sinew and not an ounce of superfluous flesh found upon her figure. Her hips are narrow and her chest is not overly large, made smaller when she binds it down. Noelle's entire figure is overall more boyish than it perhaps should be. Shaggy blonde hair hangs in her pierced face and she sports a rather amusing amount of facial piercings, with a tongue piercing in addition to the ones visible on her face. She takes these out when she's sensing a fight is coming on, or when she's been sent to break kneecaps. Somehow she manages to avoid the waifish look by appearing rather well dressed, well cut. Noelle's a girl who figured out how to fend for herself and that's clear, too. Her knuckles are crossed over with scars from her steel knuckles and she has nicks here and there from when she was first learning to use her main weapon, which has left her with some residual scarring--but she's been using it since she was around ten, so she's gotten to be a rather good fighter with it. p e r s o n a l i t y _______________________________ A little shit, if things are to be honest. Noelle's cocky and confident and she has every right to be--she was the first Little Bird, practically raised by Elliot Hanover, and here she is, tagging along on the trip out of Zhadrah. Thing is, that cockiness is rarely, if ever, projected. Why should it be? She's got a business in the way of learning things, nicking information from those with loose tongues or who give away too many details by mistake, so why should she project her own swagger? She shouldn't, is the key; it's liable to get her ass kicked, and so she dips along and smiles and acts every bit the subservient teen-- 'oh yes sir your idea for a new drug is excellent thank you very much' and it's even better now that she's out of Zhadrah where folk don't know who she is, what she does. She's a liar and a thief and unapologetic about it. Catch Noelle? Good luck getting the truth out of her. She'd rather die than give up information on the Gigas, and that's what makes her a bit ridiculous--she's been beaten to an inch of her life before and she took the beating like a champion, sprawled across the gutter with her blood in her nostrils. And then when she recovered rather suitably, Noelle hunted them down and broke their necks with her garrote--because she may be able to fight, but Noelle also has a bit of stealth on her side. Noelle's a sneak, because she has to be. She loves, loves, loves the feeling of breaking faces with her steel knuckles--but even more satisfying is slitting a throat with a knife and hiding the corpse and continuing on her way. Noelle may be able to fight (and she is, don't get that wrong) but she's equally suited to sneaking around and breaking necks. Mentally, Noelle's become a bit of a recluse--raised and inundated in everything Gigas, Noelle doesn't feel like there's much interaction to be had outside of the gang. She has a quiet disdain for everything that's not her family, and since Vincit made the move they did, Noelle wants them all dead--but she'd be willing to cut a deal instead, if it would benefit the gang. If...she could get away with it without being hung. She feels a little conflicted, and there are times where Noelle is certain of her Gigas loyalty, but even more times when she feels like her loyalty is strictly to Elliot, because Elliot saved her life, and Noelle will never feel as if she's paid back the woman she calls her mentor. Noelle has a rather large sticking point--her middle name is pronounced 'FEAR-es'. Pronouncing it 'Fires' is a rather sure way to get Noelle all fired up--or at least until she realizes it's being done on purpose. LIKES:

GOALS & SECRETS:
a b i l i t i e s / s k i l l s _______________________________ STEALTH Noelle has gotten very good at slinking about in the shadows where she doesn't belong. She's become adept at making herself blend into the background--and even more importantly, she's figured the art of making people not ask questions. She knows the stride that makes people think she's where she's supposed to be, Noelle knows how to move in order to shut questions up. She can brag and boast her way into closed-off places with a few well-placed words, and she can slide back into the shadows when that stops working. WEAPONS. Noelle has four weapons at her disposal. All of them are on her person in any situation and they are listed here in order of her proficiency in them. STEEL KNUCKLES. The steel knuckles are large and thick and Noelle wears them in fistfights. They slip onto her hands. Each hand has a steel band on it that has, atop the knuckle, a spike that protrudes out. These spikes are serrated in order to provide a more potent pain, and it is entirely possible for Noelle to coat them in poison in the event she needs to. The steel knuckles are only utilized in a pinch and are not her most commonly used weapon--they are her most proficient weapon, however, as Noelle has surprising strength and technique--she is capable of breaking a jaw with a strike from these knuckles. GIFT: SIREN'S CALL Noelle was a musician. She kept it hidden, but she'd found a saxophone, and she played it, and her music was amazing. Once Tamesis knocked the wall down, for a reason Noelle doesn't understand, she was given an offer: a gift that incorporated her voice. strengths: |

weaknesses:
[li]Water will fragment her voice and make her gift impossible to use.[/li]

Nothing much happened for a long time. Nine years, in fact. Noelle wasn't much of anything for nine long years of her life, but then, one day, their family found the bad aspect of living on the border of gangland--a gang, one that Noelle isn't entirely certain of to this day (she's been told it was Vincit, but suspects her sister was informed it was Gigas) burned the house down and swept through, slashing throats. Two survivors came from that house, Noelle and her little sister Amanda, and the two of them stumbled through the flame and the blood to find themselves on the street, and here a curious thing occurred.
Amanda was swept up by a low-ranking Vincit thug by name of Mora, while Noelle was found by Elliot Hanover herself. The two were groomed in the respective gang ways, and Noelle quickly wanted to try and convince Amanda to reach out and join Gigas--but when she broached the subject, Amanda bristled up and turned hostile. Noelle tried again, and again, and again, but all the times she tried she was rebuffed by Amanda. And then--
One day, they came to fight about it.
It was a brutal and bloody fight but by the end of it Noelle had been driven away from her only living family member; she went to Gigas, then, and never returned to the house that had been burned, the wreck she had Amanda had met at on occasion. Sometimes, she felt uncomfortable with the zealous hate of the Gigas for anyone who wasn't theirs--she felt at odds, because Elliot had saved her, Elliot had made her...what she was. Elliot had taught her to steal and lie and cheat and thief but here she was, supporting someone who was advocating what seemed to equate to outright genocide of those who oppose her.
(Noelle has never learned that Helen was the one who murdered her family, and she never will.)
When the movement against Gigas really started, when high rankers were killed, she was--
--Noelle's only killed once with a gun.
It was a woman. A ...a high ranker. It was a drive by, a gang-style drive by, and Noelle leaned out the window and pulled the trigger and watched her brains fly. Sure, she'd killed with a machete, with knuckles, with a garrote, but that was different, it wasn't so far away, it wasn't so--disrespectful. Noelle felt sick after that, but she realized that she was Gigas, and so she supported Helen's mad drive.
Now she's followed Elliot beyond the wall, and...Desecrants? Who the hell are they?!
Tamesis gave her a gift when Noelle went out beyond the wall, let her use her voice, but now she can't use her music anymore--music she'd practiced in secret. She doesn't dare sing for Elliot now, because she's seen her voice push blood from eyes and ears. But she...recognizes the gift is useful.
