WELCOME! IT IS TIME TO BEGIN! All Brackets and Seeds have been randomized for optimum fairness by a computer number shuffler.
Banners from all over the world hang in the stands and down to the field as supporters and fighters have made pilgrimage here from all over the world. Some for glory. Some for gold. Some for the love of combat. All stand today in the great annual tournament that is in honor of the blessings of summer and the longest day of the year. The summer solstice. The lord, proud and regal but warm and friendly, stands in a booth far above the arena and through a primitive megaphone makes the welcoming announcement, echoing through the hushed arena as though there were speakers and high tech equipment all around "Welcome, one and all! We pay homage this day to the four gods of peace! And also the new addition to them, for which we offer thanks that we can at last after hundreds of years, hang up the banner of Zhadrah among the colors of our shining arena!"Thunderous applause erupted as the speech was made and further pomp and circumstance of parades across the feilds and prayers for the safety of the warriors were offered up to the Gods. Orik sat in disguise among the throng in the stands. As the tournament honored him and the other gods, it was customary for them all to keep an eye on the proceedings and to honor the winner when the time came to declare the champion. After all, it was only for the Gods to judge men. ~*~

always start the party with some drinks Woo! Tournament! Shinonome loved the Domhan Tir tournaments. They were always so fun to watch, and, even more, so much fun to be in! She got to the semi-finals the last time they did something like this, but the bastard who cut her off had some neat traps that she'd love to get her hands on. But she digresses, and the hype of the matches was coming up! WOOHOO, FIGHTING!
She stood at the ready, still pretty giddy with excitement. However, she couldn't bounce too much, lest one of the three special metal pieces in Ave Maria fall out, or she spill the hidden alcohol from under her skirt or hat or lining her pockets. Golden eyes flashed ocean blue as she instinctively burst a small amount of air pressure out of her hands, to let loose some of the tension. Oh, the match was about to start! Glorious.
As the doors to the stadium slowly opened, bright sunlight flashed into her eyes. A usual thing. The crowd became louder as the matches begun to start. She stepped forwards with one boot, then with the other, beginning a brisk swagger that exerted generous amounts of confidence. Holding her broom-hilt tightly, the blonde walked out and into the roaring crowd.
The Hyrst side of the arena got louder, especially a corner where sailors and sea hands were screaming shanty tunes and old ship songs that spoke of ridiculous situations, yet glory in those situations. Shinonome tipped her hat to the Hyrst side and pulled out a bottle of champagne from beneath her hat, raising it by the neck to that side, giving a a big ol' grin to them. They cheered louder, the sailors roaring in hype and happiness.
Man, it felt great being the crowd favorite.
But now was time to dance. She had her left hand on her blade as she stared down towards her opponent, her right hand still occupied with the bottle. Her stance was steady, but also keen to start running at any time. |

| Some people sign up for a tournament for a variety of reasons. Some want the glory of winning, others because they enjoy being cheered on while some like to fight. Tristan was none of those. He did it to test his skill, to see how well he does against foreigners. That and to honor Orik. Else he'd just be security for this.
Soon he was directed to the arena, where he would fight his opponent. All he knew was it was a foreigner, from Hryst. Beyond that, Tristan knew not else. Whatever the occasion, he brought enough equipment that he could carry without being weighed down. His sword and dagger were sheathed at his side, his sling in a pocket as well as a pouch tied to his belt, which cinched his tunic at the waist, that held a dozen solid rocks.
A few other pouches held herbs of medicinal value, most to dull pain and improve stamina. Though one did hold a smaller fitted pouch filled with a potion of sorts, an upgraded painkiller to be quite frank. He didn't expect to need, or use, all of what he brought but there was too much to consider when fighting an unknown enemy.
As he walked into the arena, he spotted his opponent coming from the other side. There was raucous cheering for his opponent and this person gave them recognition which only made them louder. Tristan kept his face devoid of emotion, his muscles loose but ready. His new enemy must be someone of import of fame from Hryst, and possibly skilled too. He'd have to be precise.
A small section of the Domhan Tir seating gave a cheer for Tristan. Only a few were Guardian Shields as he, those privileged to watch while the rest patrolled around the arena and guarded. The rest of the cheerers were his family and friends of them. He felt obligated to give them some recognition so he turned his head and nodded to them. That seemed to work.
Back to the task at hand, Tristan unsheathed his sword, a simple iron weapon longer than shortsword. He held it carefully, but firm, in his right hand. His eyebrows drew down in concentration, eying his opponent across the way. It looked to be a female. If she thought he was to make the first move, she would be disappointed. Observe, wait, think and then act. Patient and precise wins the fight.

All right, in this post, I did a surprise champagne cork shot, then I threw the champagne bottle at him in hopes of getting him wet, then I boosted forwards with Pressure: Pegasus.  Notes or something. ❀ | So, his opponent was some chick with a bottle, huh? A bit too strange. She seemed to finally notice him as lowered the bottle and addressed him directly. He didn't give a verbal response, just a slight nod. He was already in the game, as they called it. His mind was working ever so, trying to deduce a sign that she was to attack and how.
Instead there was a loud pop and Tristan instinctually shifted his body to the side, narrowly avoiding a projectile. He knew it was such because he barely felt it graze his chest as he twisted sideways. Then something else, the bottle he presumed, was flying towards him at a much faster speed than a normal person should be able to throw it.
He took it as a threat and dive rolled to his right, twisting and bringing himself back to his feet. He ignored whatever it was that was actually thrown, it might have been the bottle but he didn't confirm, instead zeroing in on his opponent, whom was racing towards him at speeds faster than a normal human should be capable of.
She's gifted..
That was the only explanation. She had some special ability. It would explain the unidentified projectile that came before the suspected bottle. He knew he wasn't the only special person in the world, at least suspected it greatly. Back to the task at hand, Tristan didn't want to react offensively just yet but it seemed he had no choice.
With her speed, he waited for her to come to him, which would happen in a matter of seconds. His feet were spread apart, one foot further ahead than the other and one hand firmly holding his blade in front of him. As she drew near, Tristan stepped in to meet her advance. Instead he feinted, pivoting around her body to avoid a frontal attack and line him up for a rear assault.
Evaded three times; the cork, bottle and Shinonome Morgan. Unbeknownst to him, some of the alcohol got onto his left boot.

i visualize Nome's panties to be black, tbh She kept speeding towards him, and readied her blade to take a horizontal slice to his stomach. Heh... he was about to take a swing! Perfect, that just meant she could parry it with a bit of air and blade and counterattack him while he's staggering! As she got close to him, Shinonome took her swing, but completely missed to the sudden feint.
'Sh-Shit!' The blonde gave out, her boost coming to a staggering halt as she realized that he was behind her. 'Double shit!' Damn it! Instinctively, she halted her run, when she should have just gone further in order to reset the distance. But now... he could do as he wishes. Only one thing to do, then.
Using the air pressure from under her, she blasted her skirt up and showed him a great dose of her lovely behind and legs, panties and everything. "Nyahh! Mr. Swordsman is taking me from behind~" She squealed like one of those seductive schoolgirls as she shook her butt cutely towards him, the skirt being suspiciously slow in it's falling to the ground. 'Clearly, any hot-blooded male must get be stunned, or even just get a little bit awkward! Now...'
'Come on, Morgan, you only have a split second to find something! He must have a bit of water on him somewhere...' As she shook her butt, her feet got closer and closer to his. Then, something felt within her reach! 'THERE WE GO!' Her left foot being four inches away from his left foot, it was within just barely within her range of pressure. Shinonome then manipulated the force in his foot to be extremely strong in being pulled back, hopefully, making him fall forwards into her rear.

Agh, so wanted to tap dat ass.. ❀ | Tristan had predicted his feint would throw his opponent off and she didn't everything he could have hoped for. Well, almost everything. Instead of continuing her trajectory, she came to a staggering halt which was definitely unwise. It gave the swordsman a clear shot at her blind spot, not to mention unprotected too. However, she did the absolutely last thing he could have expected her to do.
Her skirt flying up to reveal shapely legs and small behind, as well as panties, stunned him momentarily. Not because of the usual reasons, a man seeing a girl's unmentionables but the fact that she resorted to such a thing just didn't click in his head. Any other time he would have reacted differently but his focus demanded another course. It was enough time for the the woman to inch closer and do something that suddenly had him being pulled towards her exposed rear.
Obviously she was up to something. With her inappropriate words and his sudden action to take her from behind, every spectator would think he was trying to take advantage of her. What a play. He'd have to give her props for such a thing, another time though. She may be able to control his foot that jerked forwards but the rest of him was still fully in control.
Instead of bending over forwards to put him in a very awkward position against her buttocks, Tristan shifted his left foot as it was pulled and threw his other booted foot forwards and to outwards at an angle to steady his stance. Then his offhand darted up to firmly grab her skirt whilst his swordarm curved around to hold the blade near her throat. He was all deadly seriousness.
"I don't know what kind of game you're playing," He whispered firmly to her. "but I don't take kindly to being mocked, not in front of hundreds of strangers and people I know."

what a gentleman! much respect much wow "Mn? A game?" Ohohoh. This was no game, despite what many people would say. She kept calm at swordpoint, having been there multiple times before. Grinning that toothy smile of hers, Shinonome gave an explanation to her racy actions. "This isn't a game, of course, and the mockery is to be expected when fighting somebody who uses alcohol as a main weapon. No, this is fighting dirty!" She paused a second. Oh, you expected her to make a move by then? That's what she wanted everybody to think.
A few seconds passed before she actually did something to follow up her statement, hoping to catch the swordsman off-guard. All of a sudden, she cut her own neck on the blade of his sword, but made sure not to cut too deeply or slice anything too important. First off, it STUNG like a BITCH, so she winced for a moment as she inflicted self-harm. Second off, she reached out with her pressure to her own blood and attempted to fling it forwards with all her might (which was roughly enough to blow a hole through a wall), hoping to at least get the blade away from her throat, or, if she was lucky disarm him and render his weapon far, far away. All force has to go somewhere, she had found over the years, so that sword NEEDS to move somehow.
Now, to get her skirt out of the way! Activating more air pressure, Shinonome Morgan forced all air within six inches away from her skin to suddenly push downwards as much as it could, creating a heavy weight that would probably pull her down to the ground, and maybe rip the part of the skirt that he was holding off. Worst case scenario was that he went down with her. Either way, a huge force was pulling Nome to the ground.
A resounding thought echoed in her head and she would slap herself in the face if it weren't for the situation. She was still holding her hollowed-out sword, Ave Maria! As soon as Nome got out of the swordsman's grasp in one way or another, she acted on this sudden epiphany of obvious knowledge and aimed the tip of the sword at the sorry bastard's shoulder, firing a shard of steel at a dangerous velocity. Competition and hardheadedness, it seems, has overcome the normally lax woman in these moments. She can apologize later, but god damn it, she was NOT going to get knocked out in the first round! |

He's got her figured out. ❀ | Those weren't the words he wanted to hear. Matter of fact, he wasn't so sure he knew the words he wanted said. Just that what she said didn't sit well with him. It seemed like the Hrystic fighter wasn't going to take this tourney seriously. Tristan had half a mind to just forfeit right now. However, before he could come to a complete conclusion, his opponent surprised him yet again but cutting her own throat.
He didn't have time to react as a powerful force was trying to blow his sword from his hand. Instead of fighting it, or letting go, Tristan let the mysterious force push his blade while he pulled it away and around, before letting go. This way it was flung diagonally behind him instead of forwards where he'd have to get past his opponent. He didn't go to retrieve his weapon just yet.
More mysterious force was suddenly pushing him down, but more importantly his opponent was going down. Tristan didn't stick around, no, her power was dangerous and he let go of her skirt as he quickly back stepped. He noticed that the force was gone when he got clear of her. It would stand to reason that she could somehow manipulate force on a physical level. This revelation explained the first projectile in the beginning, the supposed speeding bottle, her dashing across the arena and now these turn of events.
Should I use my gift? It would make sense for me to. Sooner or later she is going to get the best of me and I'll lose...
He didn't care so much as losing but failing the fight before giving it his best. It was clear that, in this current state, she outclassed him. Maybe it was time he evened the playing field. Of course yet another projectile was leveled at him before he could finish a thought. Once again he shifted his body, as common sense said most people aimed for the torso, but he wasn't face enough to avoid it entirely. The bladed projectile neatly sliced across his shoulder, it was only a shallow injury but enough to draw blood.
Muffling a grunt, Tristan's hand dipped down to pull out a rounded rock, tossed it and pulled out his sling. In one fluid motion, he caught the rock in the sling, spun it and then let the rocky projectile loose directly for his opponent's torso. His offhand rested firmly on the hilt to his dagger while he was already reloading his sling one-handed. His shoulder stung but it was minor, so he could ignore it while focusing. It might have been a trick of the light but it seemed like he was faintly glowing green.
Evaded Shinonome Morgan's downward force. Partially evaded the projectile but took a light hit. Slung a rock in response.

i visualize Nome's panties to be black, tbh Ah, shit. He started to resort to his specialty! With the stone coming straight towards her, Shinonome followed it's path and waited for it to come somewhat near her. Once it did, she focused all the outwards pressure in it's area towards her current opponent, bouncing the projectile off of multiple particles of air working together for once in their existence. 'Hm... he's started resorting to it. That means if I get hit by one of them, I'm most likely screwed. Better not get hit, then.'
Still going along with her strategy of getting close to him and pummeling him, she tried adding a little something to it. Main priority: get the man wet as possible, so that when he gets within range, she can push and pull and tug on his clothes all she wants. Of course, theoretically, she could do that with his blood if she got real close to him, but nobody likes a poor sport. Nome knew that he had a bit on his boot, as she had controlled it to her needs earlier, but...
Still on the floor, the blonde's hands touched the champagne from earlier. That... that works! Right! She quickly got back onto her feet by doing a backwards roll and ending in a crouch, which then made into her legs pushing her body up. Holding Ave Maria to counter any other shots that the man may make, Shinonome begun to circle around Tristan.
Now, to get him wet. Of course, she could just throw more bottles at him, or maybe use her pressure to create another burst of alcohol. However, the latter could easily be dodged, and didn't yield a huge effect on the field that she could sorta-maybe use later. The captain decided to go with the former, and whipped out her second champagne bottle from within her skirt. She then held it by the neck, upside down, and pressure-threw it at him, deliberately aiming for his blade.
