This announcement is very difficult to write. As such, it will be short and to the point.
As of this morning, our beloved member Hush passed away in her sleep in the care of a hospital. She was comfortable and surrounded by family. The journey, against odds that the doctors could not begin to understand, was completely painless. Her peaceful passing was nothing short of a miracle.
I've received this information through her younger sister, Claw. As she is another adored member of this community, I want to set a few things in stone within this announcement. Please refrain (unless her sister says otherwise) of making this a public topic within the Cbox. This announcement will remain open - as I've been given permission by Claw - for condolensces for the lack of conversation the topic will be getting in the Cbox. This is to be given the utmost respect. Those found not doing so will answer directly to me.
From Dust has always been first and foremost about its community. Each one of us loves one another. The site was built upon the basis of writing for fun and finding common interests with those that were passionate about storytelling. We each put a piece of ourselves into our characters, our plots, our threading. And so, we learn so much about one another without even having to tell each other - no facts, no 'what's your favorite--' - but rather understanding each other on an emotional and spiritual basis. We throw our hearts out on this board only to find acceptance. We are a family of writers. We are a family of friends.
From Dust is a safe haven for our friends in their times of trials. I know I speak for this fantastic community when I say that Hush, Claw, and their family will receive nothing but love and support from us. For those of you that pray, pray for their family's strength and peace of mind. For those of you that prefer to keep others in your thoughts, do so.
Thank you and God bless,
Red
