Here at FD, we do applications a little differently. When you post and fill out your template, we will leave the subject open and you will be PRIVATELY contacted via PM for necessary edits (as well as a 3rd party - two staff members). This means no public posting of 'you did this wrong' or 'you need to fix this'
. All anyone will see is your WIP and then your perfected, accepted application afterwards! You'll go through edits from two staff members (if needed) in order to get two acceptances for your application. At From Dust, you'll notice the lack of major rules we have for character creation. What we ask, the boundaries for everything, are listed in the character etiquette in our Rules section. We want you to make whatever your heart desires, whatever powers, whatever items, whatever history, occupation, personality you want! As long as it fits reasonably within the world we have created (and we will guide you during the acceptance process for this as well), you are free to create your original ideas.
Don't get caught up on making a full-grown character right away! There's always room for improvement! Throughout your RP experience here, you're welcome to add the things your character has learned, change their personalities, add a power they've come to understand and practice, etc. We understand that characters don't stay the same - and we have a section dedicated to changing/adding to your character even after you've been accepted for them to grow and live in this new era!
You will need to QUOTE THIS POST to get the code for the template, as listing the code messes up some of the credits at the end (and we don't want that :3). There are PASSWORDS located in each nation to add into your application. This ensures us that you've REALLY read where you're coming from and helps us to avoid confusion while grading your application (trust me, it's a huge help). You only need to put in the password to the nation you're applying for.
When you are DONE filling out in your application, please post in the NOTIFICATION SECTION.

We allow our players to create their own, original abilities or 'gifts' given to them by the deities of each country of origin. But you must keep these things in mind: --1. Your abilities can NOT be ridiculously OP (as stated in rules). Be creative. Everyone wants to be the strongest person in the world. Leave room for weaknesses. --2. Your abilities MUST suit the country of origin which your character is from. Obviously if your character is from Domhan Tir, they won't be a cyborg ;]. --3. Circle your abilities around one main idea. Don't make your character a master of everything around them. Focus on one subject and create different powers from it. One gift branches out with plenty of abilities. --4. Don't start off with everything at once. Here, please write out no less than four paragraphs detailing where your character has been in the world of From Dust 'til now. FAQ:
1. NO - you do NOT have to update your app if you're using the old template. You can if you'd like. If you want access to change your app, please tell a staff member and they will unlock it for you until you're done updating it!
2. YES - everything listed in the application is required. No ifs, ands, or buts! Everything listed there is to give the entire community a better sense of your character and their motives.
3. YES - as of 8/27, we did change the requirement in History from 3 to 4! We felt like 3 just isn't enough to give us a clear perspective of where a character comes from. All applications previous to this date don't need to change their applications.
