It was ok, she would be ok. She’ll just go home, get out the way and – There was a shout and then a whizzing sound and Etro had a moment of panic. She turned to find Story but everything had happened so quickly and Story had moved further away from her. The bandits that were mentioned before weren’t actually at the gates anymore they were here! She tried to run but arrows whizzed past her, lodging in the ground at the directing she was about to take to escape. “Story!” She yelled to her sister and before she knew it Story’s arm wrapped protectively around her shoulders pulling Etro to the ground. Etro could hear the clinks of the arrows bouncing off her sisters armour and for the first time in a while she was afraid for her safety. She had for so long taken for granted the protection these walls and her sisters efforts had given her but before she could turned to look over her shoulder and Story she had moved on. Etro wasn’t the only person that needed protection here, the bandits had moved to the roof tops. Speaking of which Etro looked up just in time to see a net coming her direction, she tried to run again but another arrow to the ground in warning kept her still. Raising her arms to cover her head she braced herself, but nothing happened. Uncovering her head she looked up to see the net flung in another direction with a bandit in it – she looked around for Story but it wasn’t her sister that saved her the second time. A blond woman was fighting with bandits, her precision was deadly and she sent many bandits packing – there was something else about the woman too, was she drunk? The woman landed before Etro and Etro couldn’t help but jump at the sudden appearance that she even did that ‘point to roof, point to woman and back to roof’ double take. It wasn’t until she spoke a cheery hello that Etro eased and couldn’t help but smile in return – something about this woman’s aura made Etro comfortable even in a situation like this. She actually laughed at how comical this was “How are…” the woman’s sword contacted a bandit and Etro cringed but kept her focus on Captain Shinonome so she didn’t see much. But even that was interesting in itself, Shinonome flicked her head back and another bandit was knocked out, it was all getting a bit comical and Etro begun to giggle as the Captain held her hand out for a handshake which Etro happily accepted she introduced herself “I’m Etro, Etro Lumi-nus” She stumbled on the words and she heard the groan of a man, his bits being squished by the woman’s boot “You are crazy!” She grinned at the woman taking a step away for the man in pain on the ground. Story voice then echoed around them and her words acted like a good slap – Etro had actually forgotten the danger, she was too caught up in the captain to notice that there was still danger. At first Story rounded on the Captain but soon Etro was in the firing range – literally. Story had pushed Etro, causing her to fall into Shinonme as an arrow grazed Story’s cheek, where Etro had been. MADE BY LILO OF GS |

welcome back! / I SHIP ETRO x NOME / Metronome? Crazy? Not 'oh my god' or 'ahhh' or 'what the hell are you doing'? Don't get her wrong, she had been called crazy multiple times, but the fact that missy wasn't frozen in fear right about now, not frozen in fear enough to call her crazy, caught her attention to what she previously deemed just some random civilian. Screw titanium, this girl's nads were made of polished diamonds. Etro Luminus... she'd have to remember that name, maybe make a land friend for once. "I get that a lot. I prefer the term 'exotic', though, mademoiselle." She quipped to Etro, grinning her grin with that shine straight out of a Disney movie. "Though, crazy does suit me, especially on the battlefield."
But then Captain Redhead came and gave a lecture. Ah, there's the 'what the hell are you doing' that was bound to happen. Who was her beckoning savior again, she was politically strong... Tale, Chapter... Story! Story... Luminus. Her eyes went back and forth between crimson and pink, piecing it together as there was a split second of thoughts. Sisters? Family? Family. The resemblance was there, so close family. Makes sense why Redhead was having a hissy fit over Diamondnads over there- arrow. Almost hit Etro, but DID leave a mark on Story. Really deep. Etro got pushed into her body, and Nome caught her, but as the Navy Captain looked upon the wound and listened to Story's words.
Shinonome snapped into sobriety right away as Story applied pressure on the wound, the pretty woman in her arms not mattering at the moment. Her face went from bright and fun to grim. "Only a game until a pretty face gets wrecked..." She murmured, but loud enough that people can hear. "Right." She addressed the girl on her. "I'll flirt with you later, hon." Then she turned around and flashed her eyes up. Cheating bastards. "I have a duty, then. For once."
Before the snipers reloading atop could ready their aim, pressure burst forth from Shinonome's feet, propelling her straight towards an almost-ready archer. Grabbing his face with both hands by tackling him in the air, she burst more pressure into her arms and flung his body at another archer, taking the both of them out by using a human projectile. From her place on the rooftops, five more archers were moving to shoot her, but their aim was shaky as their friends were dead or going to be executed within the day. One almost dropped his crossbow. Cute.
Ave Maria was flung at the nearest archer like a spear, piercing his shoulder. The captain just let herself bleed at the overuse of her pressure powers, air cutting into her skin as she flashed towards the scared goon next to him. No hard feelings, no good feelings. Just serious time, because somebody got hurt. Grabbing Ave Maria out of the wounded marksman, she didn't have enough time to swing it at him. Instead, she planted her foot into his face, using him as a board to make her way to the remaining three as he fell down a building.
Again her sword was flung, planting itself firmly in the leg of the bandit she wasn't moving towards. The one she was moving towards, however, did just shoot an arrow at her- to no avail, it was off like the man was blind. She just took his face (Nome found herself doing that a lot today; lots of fun) and threw him to the pavement below, probably breaking trivial things like legs or ribs or his spine. For the third time, Ave Maria was grabbed out of a human organ, and the last bandit attempted to aim his crossbow before it got cut up promptly by an intimidating woman. Looking around, she didn't find any trace of remaining marksmen, and the guards, if they were smart, were combing the area. 'Not sure if the land army does this...' She shifted her eyes back to the scared thug, applying slight pressure to push him back as her glare intensified, instilling fear in him. 'But information is always gained on the field.'
"So, why're you here? Raid? Bribe? Women?" This one was young, so he spilled his guts immediately. "Raid! Raid, we were going to outnumber them, we knew that they didn't place guards when the scouts came back, so we brought our entire gang along! Oh god, Rico, Nicholas, y-you killed them all, y-you..." He found himself silenced as she grabbed his hair and pulled him up, almost in tears. "Yeah, I did, brat. To protect my friends over there, that you TRIED to fuck up." She motioned to the redhead and pinkette they were trying to flank only moments earlier. "But now... oh boy, I'm gonna fuck you up. Not personally, because I still want to flirt with the pretty girl over there, but we'll see what happens when you come to the wrong neighborhood, K? K. Brace yourself."
He barely had time to do so as his body was thrown haphazardly onto the man whose groin was crushed earlier, with a blonde landing next to him. The youth tried to get up, but found his hair yanked once more, forcing him to his feet as Shinonome pulled him. He groaned in some negative emotion, some reasons being that his ribs were in agony, he landed on his friend's body, and his hair felt like it was going to tear off. "This is why they call me the Hydra, don't forget it, fucker." She growled at him. Again, it was loud enough that people could hear. Afterwards, a whistle erupted and she pointed to the kid in her capture. "Got myself a live one, boys. Nice and fresh too." She pushed him at some soldiers, who caught him and apprehended him. The bloodied Hydra just tried to clear out the red out of her dress as she spoke, returning slowly to her jovial set of mind. "You know, on the high seas, we'd have pulled some teeth out and knocked his kneecaps. The teeth for information, the kneecaps for hurting our comrade. Not sure how honorable knights do things. Anywho, I assume your soldiers are clearing the area, Captain Luminus?" She sniffed, smiling a smaller smile while rolling her shoulders, a silence for attempting to defuse the tension when four men were incapacitated with blood pooling up on the rooftops above them. |

CPT. STORY EVE LUMINUS All is fair in love in war... for the victor.
Finally.. something that made sense. The situation had apparently snapped back to the Navy Captain and she regained herself and her sense of duty. As she zoomed back off to battle in order to take care of what stragglers were left, a few of her men joined her in assistance while the others, a few officers, regrouped towards the center of the square. Story turned to them, her hand still gripped against her cheek, and looked over to analyze what was left.
Seemed the gifted and renowned Hydra was making good and easy work of the unpracticed bandits, so she worried very little. Those who were trained would always come up on top. Good, evil, didn't matter... that was how life worked. Only dedication and loyalty to your duty made you a victor. The heart had no part.. recent happenings had taught her that - and now she was sure to forever remember. No matter how strong a soldier.. the waves were always more versed against a ship...
She rolled her eyes with silent frustration to clear her head of such silly things. What was done was done. All that mattered right now was the safety of those behind the walls of which she protected.
Two of her officers demanded to march towards her and to see the wound. She brushed them away. "It's a cut, not a bullet wound," she sighed angrily to them. 'Captain, at least to the medics.. if not anything else--', "Fine, dear Goddess, fine!" she dropped her hand from her cheek to wave both arms in the air disgruntled. The Naval Captain came back, offering a survived young man and shoving him towards her officers. They immediately grabbed hold of him and kept the shaken raider steady.
Knee capping... teeth pulling... "There's no honor in such things-" her head shook, letting the blood from the deep gash drip freely down her neck into the confines of her armor, seemingly unaffected. Truth be told, it stung like hell. But there were more important things at-hand.. Her eyes drifted back to the young man.. gazing back at her for some form of mercy as if he had it in his mind now that he was in the hands of knights, he would be given a shred of hope. Wrong. "-but I didn't hear any honor coming from attacking innocent cityfolk either," she thinned her eyes at him.
'No.. no, please no!' he begged her after she nodded her head in Shinonome's directions for the officers to give him back. "Brynne have mercy on your soul. I have none," she spat to the ground, then looked back to the fellow captain, "I heard nothing of knees or teeth. You did well, Captain.." she lifted her sword and replaced it at her hip, turning a blind eye to the young man's future.. - looking naught at her sister as if she were just another citizen on the street, and began to walk towards her squad in order to start and clean things up.

It all happened so suddenly, one moment she was looking at the pirate, cradled in her arms the next she was back on her feet just staring in a daze “Flirt with me?” Etro snapped back her to senses she moved quickly and took cover, her back was against the wall of a building, taking cover under its eaves. IT didn’t take long for the fighting to subside and Etro wondered where her sister had got too. She was cut badly from an arrow meant for her and Etro felt terrible and also worried but when she looked around she saw that Story was walking away. She wasn’t looking to see if Etro was ok, didn’t say anything she simply addressed Shinonome and then turned and left. Etro didn’t know what to make of that, she was rather shocked by her sister’s actions. That wasn’t like her at all but then again it wasn’t like her to not show up at their mother’s funeral either. She closed her eyes and tried to think of something else. This time when she opened her eyes she tried to see where the other girl had gone too. To be honest, she felt a tad sick – having just been shunned by her sister made her feel very strange in the stomach or maybe it was the smell of blood. Whatever it was, she threw up and started to cry. She was out of view so she managed to maintain some of her dignity and she wasn’t wailing so that helped too. But, the hole that grew evermore inside her was making her slightly numb and she just wanted to curl up. Get up Et, be strong…. Through the nausea she tried to stand straight, hoping that she might just be able to get home, have a shower and forget this day ever happened. Well maybe not the part where she met that sailor, she was something else and she left an impression on her. MADE BY LILO OF GS |
