That's what everything was. The inhabitants of the world came together, befriending one another, and pledged to create the largest and richest society that any history had ever heard of. To rid civilization of doubt, of dreams, of hopes, of fears, of crisis.. And they did.
The empire was all they needed and all they wanted. Each citizen lived joyously in the unfathomably glorious utopia. Technology became more advanced, the city lights grew brighter, and the government expanded and adjusted to fit the large census. Soon enough, class systems became very evident. As time went on and the empire grew, it required more land, more resources, more work. Those along the rim began most of the manual labor while the rest in the center lazed around happily in the comfort of their desk jobs. A lower class and a higher class were created. Eventually, the higher class became greedy and began taking advantage of each and every financial corner they could cut, leaving the lower class behind and shoving them down even further in the system. The empire was supported by the thousands living around the outskirts that took care of the rare materials the richer communities needed. And then, the people became restless. They cried out searching for some form of hope, some other world.. someplace where they'd know this kind of pain no longer being stomped on by the very future they'd tried to create themselves. All from their own, proud ambition.
