LIGHTS WILL GUIDE YOU HOME
✿For a while, her nose took in the smells to try and create a more detailed picture of what exactly she was experiencing. The man.. he smelled like sweat. Like sweat, woods, and anger. Anger was a really strong smell. It was always so .. piercing. Heavy and unpleasant, making you want to back up and away from it so that it didn't effect your senses anymore.
The older woman, the one who brought her food, smelled like this home. Both left a taste in her mouth of calmer, pine-like smells and old, clean fabrics. Warmth and ash of a campfire that had died near soft soil. The doctor smelled of flowers. Sweeter, softer, light like rain or a cold morning dew in spring.
And there was the one that-- oh! Sulwyn chirped in surprise when she was lifted-- .. the one that always liked to pick her up and take her other places.. The younger redhead. Her arms quickly wrapped around her own chest, curling at being off the ground. The fox didn't like being too high up like this without having her feet and hands on something. But this time, the woman cared for the space her tail required.
A door opened to another room and she immediately started sniffing. This one smelled like the woman. Was this where she lived? It had to be. They both smelled like an old, wise, healthy tree. Wet bark, wind hitting the fall leaves and crisping the air with a peaceful smell of silence and patience. That's what it was like.. When they got to stop and rest during that season, the fox always made sure to stay up all night to see the rising sun and feel the contrast of the chilly night and warm rays that cleared the paleness of her skin with an orange glow.
When she got sat down on the fibress rug, her eyes looked around the room. Soon, she was limping about to sniff odd objects and things she'd never seen. Her head turned, ears as well, at the sound and smell of a lit fire. As if it drew her in, the fox hobbled back over and sat down on the rug in front of it. The woman came to wrap a fur around her -something she didn't usually get. They'd give her a few canvas sacks to hug around in during the winter.. but nothing comfortable. She bit at it and pawed at it lightly until it was perfectly situated around her just the way she preferred.
Her head popped out of it rather humorously after she was done wrestling, looking up at the bed the woman was getting into - ears up and head tilting a tad. She knew the command for 'night time'.. but she wasn't quite sure that that was indeed what she was supposed to do. She.. had to make sure first.. even if speaking would get her in trouble.. "B-..." her lips puckered a little, struggling with whether or not to even say it let alone pronounce it correctly. "B-b... be-d? Bed?..." she blinked, tucking her head low and setting her ears down in case she'd be punished - voice soft and little as she asked. Half of her face hid under the skin now, just eyes and the top of her head visible as she looked over to the woman with worry.
