Each monster has its own difficulty level, dwelling area and special attributes unique only to them. Please click their name to be taken to a bigger picture of what they look like. HRYST DIFFICULTY ✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪MAIN DWELLING AREA The Outerlands SUB-DWELLING AREA Within the earth, along rocky areas/trees.CATEGORY Omnivorousbehavior and banes The Amon Arakh are said to be the oldest creatures of the entire continent. They are spirits of the earthen elements, life forms that take their form from the nature itself. These creatures are mostly dormant and live for hundreds and hundreds of years. They awaken once out of every twenty. The rocks, soil, and bark that make up their enormous structure come to life - the Amon Arkakh's only thought: 'destruction'. They want to live as much as they possibly can before they fall back to sleep again and eventually become natural structures in the earth and rest eternally. They don't know how long they have in this period of consciousness. Some are awake for a day, some are awake for a few months. attack type The Aman Arakh are gigantic, towering, fearsome, dangerous beasts. They can range anywhere from made of stone, bark, or earthen soil at 6 feet all the way up to an enormous 13 feet tall. They move at rather surprising speeds, able to chase the quickest of mortals and dent the bases of the largest of trees with the bash of their shoulders. The Aman Arakh have incredible strength, smashing and trampling everything in their path or simply crushing the ground beneath them as they walk. They often rest hidden among the grass or mounds until something comes near them to destroy. These monsters are horrifying for any adventurer, immensly difficult to fight against. However.. they are warded off by the stones with the glyphs that Brynne has risen from the ground - nearly as tall as the beasts themselves - and must stop at the proximity of them if any mortal should run behind them for protection. The Aman Arakh loose interest in the chase after the humans become protected by these wards.. and simply wander away for something else to destroy. coded by electric of gangnam style DIFFICULTY ✪✪✪✪✪✪✪.5MAIN DWELLING AREA The Open Waters SUB-DWELLING AREA Deep seas.CATEGORY Carnivorousbehavior and banes It's sad that there were more hydras than these man years ago - but the original settlers of Hryst made it a point to hunt what they could in order to make the trade waters a safer place. Redscales, blackscales.. the silverscales are all that remain. They often live far deeper in the seas than the others had, taking advantage of stormy waters when larger prey fled to reefs and ships were easy meals. As seen in the picture link, the hydras are massively large - the largest of the country - and can grow from one to three heads. The hydra is unable to crawl upon anything large-land based, as its muscular structure is built strictly for swimming with fins and no flat ribs as well as a domed spine (as opposed to other reptiles that can flatten to slither). There are very few of the hydras so large. They can range from the size of a small fishing boat to three times the size of a large naval vessel. attack type Their size and strength far outweigh the power of the aman arakh. What makes them less difficult, however, is their hide. Though scaled along the topside, the belly is fully exposed - vulnerable to stabbing or slashing objects sharp enough to pierce it deep. The movement of the serpents are unmatched in both silence/stealth and in speed within the ocean waters. The main aggressive elemts of the hydra being the long bodies and teeth - they often try to wrap themselves around ships to either crush or hold still in the water. However, it is often difficult for them to do so in stormy weather with the waves crashing their large bodies about. DIFFICULTY ✪✪MAIN DWELLING AREA Empire Ruins SUB-DWELLING AREA Dark areas, in the cool sand.CATEGORY Omnivorousbehavior and banes These creatures moved into the ruins after the Empire's destruction, growing more and more brave with the lack of mortal life moving about. Reaching to about a foot in length (sometimes smaller), these creatures gain their name from the sound their two, small, front claws make when digging around through the sand. They're very curious and pesky creatures that crawl around inside the buildings and scratch around little items for things that they can eat. Scratchers aren't aggressive, but they can grow a bit bold with searching through your things before hiding back in the shadows again. A few of them may roam around together, but never in large groups. attack type Scratchers don't go out of their way to attack something else unless it's smaller than them. They're exoskeletons are a great defense against the blaring heat and the falling of small rubble from the ruins. The skeleton is breakable and the creatures edible, though the meat isn't plentiful. They will scavenge on the remains of dying or dead creatures much larger than them, but upon seeing a threat they scurry away. If caught, they may sometimes try to claw away or bite their way out. Their teeth and claws are very thin and pointy, very able to pierce through skin but not long enough to do more than hurt and annoy. coded by electric of gangnam style
