| He figured she would do something to the rock he slung at her. With her gift to manipulate force, it was predictable that she'd deflect it back at him. Expecting such a maneuver, Tristan quickly shifted his body as he had done at the very beginning, avoiding the rock. He already had another rock loaded, and spinning the sling, yet he hadn't let it go just yet. She was up to something.
She was still on the arena floor, thinking something probably. Maybe she got an idea as she came to her feet. Tristan tensed up, keeping his eyes on her and turning, expecting another projectile attack, or pressure. Neither came, well in a way. She pulled another bottle from the confines of her clothing and his eyes narrowed slightly. He knew what she was capable of with a bottle.
So it came again, what he expected. He didn't solely predict she would throw the bottle but based on what he had seen thus far, there was only a handful to choose from and he was ready for them. Of course this time around it was coming at him faster, or so it seemed. Maybe it was time to show it.
The faint glow from earlier became more pronounced, bolder in a way. There was no mistaking, a solid forest green aura manifested around his body with a wavering thickness of a few inches. In the same instant, Tristan focused his power and his muscles became more defined, which for this situation, boosted his agility.
With the new found speed, Tristan easily avoided her thrown bottle, getting well out of the way and retrieved his sword in the process. Because of this, he had to stow away his sling but that didn't matter. Since he was showing his true colors, the sling would be useless. He had his sword, he had his dagger, though sheathed, he could win this.
Evaded the deflection. Activated Inner Power: Agility. Dodged the pressure-thrown bottle.

take a moment to chillax, brah Shit. She should have expected this type of thing, now shouldn't she? Of course he had a gift, be it related to his sling or otherwise. Still, she grinded her teeth at his extremely easy dodging of her pressure-powered champagne bottle, the perfectly good drink shattering into pieces behind his original area. God damn it, that could have went perfectly in the celebration, too! She wasn't mad that it was dodged so easily, she was just mad at the poor waste.
Still in her stance on the champagne, Shinonome assessed his speed. So, he was probably better at dodging... but was he good at coming in? Judging by how he held himself, probably. In any other situation. Then again, in any other situation, he'd be calm and collected enough to make calculated actions, and in any other situation, she'd be on the high seas, or at least next to them. 'Didn't he say he didn't like being mocked? Well.'
Well, time for Plan B; piss him the fuck off to goad him into coming into her area of power, then attack with unfair powers until he tires himself out or he sustains enough hits! The blonde took a seat on the dirty ground and pulled out her third bottle from under her skirt, making sure to use it as should could. 'I only have four, so I shouldn't go throwing them around.' Taking a sip of the sweet nectar inside with her right hand, Nome then set the glass to her right, a look of boredom on her face.
The woman then took off her hat, which had a container of vodka inside, and placed it on her left, scratching the top of her head with the hilt of Ave Maria. She still had her sword, so that covered her front. Now, what to do with behind her... Golden eyes glanced to her back, and saw the trail of champagne leading to various shards of glass. Brilliant, she could just try and focus on the noise of glass breaking extremely fast. Besides, it's not like she doesn't know how to parry behind her.
Keeping her eyes on him, the sailor made sure to watch his every move, especially his left foot. If he steps towards her with his left foot within six inches, he's toast. Still, she put up a look of boredom on her face as she made her first remark. "You're pretty fast. You ever calculate your speed?" _________________________________________________
Sit down, put her bottle on her right, put her hat on her left. I don't think observations count towards our actions, do they? |

~ ❀ | She must of been impressed by his speed, or the fact of his greenish aura. He assumed this because she wasn't attacking. So it was either that or she became really cautious. He too would of been cautious, in fact he had been when she pulled off a spectacular feat. Honestly, he still is wary of her. He figures, with the seen evidence, that she controls force. It can only make sense that within a certain range too.
Tristan's eyebrow twitched as his opponent sat down, to take a load off as it were. Why wasn't she taking things seriously? It made no sense to him and he could have bet the spectators were bewildered too. This turn of events only put him on edge, as she had to be concocting something nefarious or otherwise. The mocking that ensued only made him momentarily scowl at her.
Fine, if that is how to you wish to play it..
Sheathing his sword, Tristan pulled out his loaded sling and shot off a rather fast rock at her. Almost immediately, two more swift rocks followed behind. His improved agility and reflexes made loading and slinging the rocky projectiles rather easy, and quick. His first shot was aimed at her, while another at the bottle and the third a little ways off to his right, her left, in case she tried to dodge that way.
Slung three rocks at Shinonome Morgan. One at her body in general, one at the exposed bottle and a third off to her right if she dodged that way. Agility 2/2+ posts.

errbody in the club getting tipsy So he switched back to his sling, eh? Well, that was a good sign that he didn't dare come near her. Still, he seemed like the person to be very calm and collected, despite what his earlier sternness had said about him, so pissing him off would take a bit of time, so why did he switch his weapon? It's either he's getting paranoid or he's still playing smart, and it was quite confusing to distinct either.
Then he slung a rock at her, then at her bottle, then cutting her off at her left. They seem faster now! Maybe, it was his momentum. Pushing it back with air pressure, she calculated on the previous time he slung rocks at her. This didn't perfectly reflect it, but it did cushion the power that it had, and the thing hit her body with a bit of force, enough to make a bruise. Her eyes closed as she felt it. Damn, if that hit her fully, she could have broken a few ribs!
But the thing is, it LOOKED like it should have broken a few ribs, given the small amount of distance that six inches was. Any problem in power could have easily been cast off as a trick of the eye, and pressure didn't exactly have a color to distinct. Using this to her advantage, Shinonome gave off a strange comment. "You know, it's impolite to shoot at somebody when they're resting from a bit of exhaustion." Not false; her pressure was starting to wear on her and make her a bit winded, but not exhausted. Hopefully, he miscalculated his actions accordingly. "Oh well. I suppose it didn't hurt anyways." Then she chuckled, still seated.
The champagne had broke next to her, causing a great big puddle of drink and glass shards on her right. It was about a centimeter thick, but thick, nonetheless. Perfect, now she certainly had a bit of range if he comes in close. "You're wasting good alcohol, you know." Shinonome pulled out the last of her champagne bottles and popped the cork off. "If you keep doing that, I may just have to drink the rest! Man, I'm parched, too."
And then she started chugging it, allowing her system to get greedily drunk. 'R-Right... this should soften any blows that his s-sling may do, (hic) air pressure or not!' Already halfway through the bottle, she set it down, a drunken smile on her face as her cheeks started becoming rosy. Shinonome then firmly held her blade with two hands instead of one, almost as if she was grasping for balance. Instead, it was to block his shots better. For show, she gave a hiccup, and did a trick with her mouth that made alcohol bubbles fly out as she did. Heh, that should piss him off even more! _________________________________________________
Cushioned the rock hit then took it, Talked a bit, then got drunk. This is the best battle strategy, I swear. |

He's starting to lose it. ❀ | What had gotten into his opponent? This was unorthodox, and getting out of hand. Who sat down in the middle of a fight to take a break? It it hadn't been for her mysterious gift to control force, he would have gotten up close and personal already to lay her out. He would have t bide his time but that was neither a show of skill or liable to get him anywhere. Her taunts didn't help either.
Making an effort to school his face, Tristan could feel his temper rising. He didn't want to how one of his fiery outbursts here, not in front of EVERYONE but he might not be able to help it. Not only that, but he could feel the strain his gift was putting on his muscles. It felt like they were being stretched out but only mildly so. It would get much worse if he didn't end the usage. However it was bearable for now.
"You know what else is impolite, you dirty drunkard?" Oh boy, his control was slipping. It was made apparent by the way his impassive green aura was starting to writhe and waver. "Deliberately mocking your opponent so. Where is your honor? This is a fight, not a damned drinking competition! I didn't come here to be made fun of in front of my kinfolk!"
Well, it was better sooner than later. Tristan still held a rein on his temper, not much so as seen here but enough not to charge in recklessly. It was teetering on the edge though and doing his hardest not to make the biggest mistake ever. Instead, still channeling his power to keep his boosted speed, slung, loaded, slung, reloaded and slung one final time. at his opponent.
He didn't give a care that she was sitting down, or drinking for that matter. He just wanted to end this charade. He launched two of the rocks at her, her face and torso, while the third was aimed at the bottle. He knew those to be her projectiles and needed to rid her of them. Although his focused aim was a little off so the third might just veer towards she herself.
"Now come fight me..." He growled.
Slung three rocky projectiles. Two at Shinonome Morgan. One at her bottle, though it could also veer to hit her too. Agility: 3/2 Slight aching pains to his muscles.

you hit strong, but i'll make you look weak Three rocks were slung at her direction. The first one came to her face. 'Well damn, that could be a problem.' Making sure that the one that aimed at her face was the one she dodged, Shinonome held up her sword hand and slowed it's speed with air pressure as she drunkenly moved her head out of the way, as if swaying from imbalance. Still, the quick rock just barely grazed her ear and left a little cut.
The second one came to her torso, and she didn't make much of an effort to dodge it. Applying only enough air pressure in order to stop it from breaking important bones, she let the rest of it hit her solidly, and had to bear a wince. Still, it didn't do quite as much damage because her body didn't tense for the assault, so she just endured a lingering pain where it hit. Still, to put up the facade that she had full control, the blonde gave a little chuckle, as if watching children play.
His last one... heh, maybe he was angry after all. It was coming towards her shoulder, when he was probably aiming for her bottle. It was kind of close, sure, but still very imprecise in comparison to his previous accuracy. Having taken quite a bit of damage to her shoulder, the captain didn't apply anything to it and just let it hit. It hurt about as much as the torso rock, but she could live.
After taking the brunt of his attacks, Shinonome gave out a hearty laugh, one worthy of many manly cheers. The endorphin rush from laughing helped numb the pain in her body a bit. "Why should I fight you when I'm having so much fun right here? Come, man, take a seat, and drink with me! Besides..." Time to pull out the big stops in pissing the man off. Ave Maria's end pointed at him mockingly as she closed one eyelid, smiling. "If I can just sit and take your blows with no problem, it isn't a fight as much as it is an annoyance to a good time, is it?"
If he rushed her at that speed, the match was hers. A metal-shard shot from the Ave Maria (which was pointing at him), and the fact they were colliding... heh, she'll feel sorry for puncturing whatever she punctures. _________________________________________________
Dodged the face rock, slowed down the torso rock, and let the veered rock hit. It's ALL about appearances here, folks. |
