GOALS & SECRETS:
a b i l i t i e s / s k i l l s _______________________________ Grenades: Most Night Raid soldiers carry grenades, but none carry grenades of the same type that Jackie does. On her person she has two white phosphorous grenades. These grenades are cylindrical with small chambers inside of them, that, when the cylinder is thrown and broken, shoot off in multiple directions. These smaller mini-grenades each contain white phosphorous, and they burst after two seconds of exposure post-movement or fifteen seconds of light exposure while rolling. The mini-grenades appear inconspicuous and as a result her WP grenades appear absolutely inconspicuous once the initial throwing is done. In addition, Jackie carries two flashbangs and three regular grenades. Sturmvolt Assault Rifle :: Self-made 'Devastation' modification: Short barrel. Compact design. Kinetic energy to penetrate through concrete. Typical bullets, rapid fire capabilities. Holographic sight, comfortable, ergonomic grip. But typical bullets only extend to the bullet's piercing capabilities. They pierce like normal bullets, but this is where the 'Devastation' modification kicks in. Jackie's bullets for her Sturmvolt rifle are made to burst into flame. Once the rifles penetrate into flesh, they ignite, and the person who is shot is burned from the inside out in addition to the pain and suffering from the bullets themselves. M-11 pistol: A typical M-11 pistol, there are no real modifications to it save the pistol being slightly weighted so it can be used effectively as a bludgeon at close range. SHARP 'synthetic hardbody aggressive pacifier' Gear :: A new set of armor that is being utilized by a select few, the SHARP suit was made by tech-heads of the Night Raid; Jackie herself contributed to the suit's creation. While the suit contains synthetic fibers of nanomachines and adamantium, the real benefit of the SHARP suit comes from it's bio-organic nature; the SHARP suit is designed to be completely organic in movement, with no lag between actions and an incredibly fast rate of reaction. strengths:

h i s t o r y _______________________________ And you always wanted to be the hero. When she was born, Jackie looked nothing like she does now; she was built like a twig, ginger, freckled. Awkward in every sense of the word, she was a pasty-faced loser whose only saving grace was her technological prowess. She was like an idiot savant, being able to fix whatever she was told to fix, but she was still gangly and graceless even young. Young, she was mocked, smacked around, and made fun of--her face ground against her failures. When she was a young girl, around the age of nine or ten, she began to read comics, books with heroes like her, failures, who grew up and were strong. She wanted to be a hero. She began to draw and write, sketching out her own panels in which a character called Might-Cat was able to fend off great evils, and succeed at various things Jackie herself failed at. The successes she projected were bitter echoes of her reality in which she failed, in which she was weak. Jackie doesn't talk about her childhood much and she talks even less about her teenage years. When she was fourteen, Jackie began to show the signs of the strenuous childhood; she had few friends, and fewer desires to make them. Having since given up on being presented to the world as a thing worth having--not realizing her worth in being able to put together just about anything that was broken--Jackie fell to herself, and began to lurk around quiet places, drawing, sketching, making her creations. Her parents seemed a little ashamed of her, she perceived, and Jackie began to distance herself from them, too, a tall and lanky ginger lost girl that ambled here there and back again. The bullying didn't stop either--weakness, blood in the water, drew those who normally would have cowed in the way of her technological prowess. She was alone. Floating out on the water, Jackie's life became a blur, a blur her drawings and writings couldn't quite take her away from. Somewhere along the line, things began the split, the breaking. Around the age of sixteen, however, Jackie began to show the signs of quite a twisted sense of humor, a dark and deep streak that was not at all hidden behind her actions. She was marked by it. That was her view on life, as she sank further and further into the darkness in her guts, she eyed the world with a more warped sense of humor. Eventually, Jackie made a series of rough choices, driven by her desire to make something of herself. She never turned to crime, never did, because she wanted, even after all this time, to be a hero. She wanted to be something. The awkward ginger youth was hauled before a judge nonetheless when she was found shoving a blade into a man's carotid artery. She claimed he had made an assault upon her, but either way, she was sentenced. Jackie was given a choice, in the dark, in private. She could take her sentence or she could join the military, and the military was the clear choice, so off she went, because this way she could be something, someone important, she could be a hero of war. Unfortunately for Jackie, she was deemed weak by the Instructor, and a rather concentrated attempt to break her began. While Jackie sank deeper in deeper into her unstable rage, unnoticed because she'd gotten so good at hiding it behind her laughing and smiling and jokes, she was pushed, beaten, made to run laps, starved, humiliated. Eventually, she was named 'Joker', and only called that; because that was what she was, the joker of the platoon. At least until someone who wasn't an officer decided to make a point of her; during the night, a series of fellow soldiers came by and beat her, trying to make a point--stop fucking up. Jackie proceeded to brutally beat the ringleader in PT the next day. Sparring. By the end of it, the woman's lips were broken open, her eye was swollen, her head was bleeding. When they pulled Jackie away, she was expressionless, only shaking lightly. When Jackie was alone in a solitary chamber to isolate her, word reached her--the woman had been beaten to death. During the next few days, her fate was uncertain, but she was utterly unaware that the "Night Raid" had taken an interest in her. They'd seen that behind the sneering, laughing facade there was the severe rage of a murderer, of an attack dog that could be whipped about on command. She was still a ginger and still a fool but a lot less of a joker, and when they took her away in the night, she assimilated well. The hunger got to her, and Jackie became incredibly food-motivated, and she would rob one or two of her fellow recruits of their food when she got hungry enough. The horror of...the breaking...it still tugs at her mind, and in the darkness, Jackie saw the chance to reinvent herself. Cat came swimming forward from her subconscious, a little mentally created entity on whom she could blame things. Cat was violent. Cat is not an alternate personality, but a name for a mental zone that Jack slips into when she prepares to draw blood, to kill. Calling herself Cat is a sign that Jackie has slipped quietly into preparation to slaughter. Jackie quickly found that her technological prowess lent itself to bomb making. She found out how to make 'white phosphorous' bombs, but not without cost--Jackie nearly died when a bomb went off in her face; searing away her skin and hair and eyes, boiling them out of her skull. When Jackie woke after that, she looked completely different. A series of Donations had saved her from death. And now, having nearly died, Jackie is a lot more jovial than she used to be. The darkness is there, but Jackie doesn't fear death or dying anymore, not after her flesh boiled and cooked on her bones. So now she's a grim jokester, a collector of magazines and odd little things, but she's just as lethal as the rest of them. Even if Jackie still thinks she's hopeless. known family: Wilhelm Katze -- 46 -- Deceased Jacqueline Mason I -- 43 -- Donation Surgeon |
