"you know i'm bad, i'm bad, i'm really really bad"☒ | Charles Preston | ✐ | 300+ | ✉ | i'm sorry i'm crap at starting threads. though we got thiss. |
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | rays of sunlight filtered through the windows, casting light on abandoned corners and the general hubbub that was a stalwart companion to the denizens of the small building. on the second floor, though lay a small modicum of peace in the form of a blonde teenager sitting on a grimy windowsill, back to one side.
eyes closed, from a far distance bellamy could be easily mistaken for being asleep, and indeed, it was almost so. the girl slumped and gave a sigh of exhaustion, desperately trying to ignore the noise being created by her fellow gang members. maybe she would've been down there with them earlier, making havoc, but now, she was merely annoyed by all the antics. her only luxury was that the others knew better then to bother her now..
"i need sleep," she muttered to empty air, momentarily breaking the room's silence. it wasn't like there was anybody that was going to hear her, though. it had been a long day, and the bunks lining one side of the room looked pretty inviting at this point. however, after a few moments of deliberation, she decided against getting up and instead stayed in her solitary position.
bellamy looked out the window, enjoying the view. though their gang hideout may have been situated in one of the less savory places in Aster, there was no denying that the sunset was simply beautiful. a smile graced her face, and she used her sleeve to clean some of the dust off the window pane before leaning her face against it, face smushed against the glass. her countenance may have been sunny currently, but if anyone decided to traipse up the stairs, she might have found herself in a bad mood yet.
then again, bellamy might be in a too good mood to care, albeit perhaps being slightly annoyed by any small disturbance. |

Charlie sat halfway up the stairs looking out over the tables holding the younger gang members. They were making noise and fooling around. Just being kids. Charlie smiled a bit as he watched them. They were all safe here which was as much as he could ask for. And he felt it was his responsibility to watch over them. But, he wasn’t above having some fun. He’d already set up a prank at the top of the stairs above him, not really having anyone in mind, just waiting for the unlucky fool to trip it. It wasn’t even that complicated, just a small trip wire connected to a bucket full of chicken feathers. But, he’d set it up hours ago and had all but forgotten it. He looked around at the kids. A couple started fighting near the wall but he knew it was just over something dumb and would blow off quickly. Some of the girls were playing games or doing other things. He sighed as he watched them. They were all younger than him. And here he was feeling like their father. He closed his eyes and stretched backward on the stairs. “I might as well be their father,” he muttered. He jumped as a small explosion boomed through the room from the side wall. It wasn’t very large but the sound was enough to shake the windows on the third floor. He looked over at the source along with the rest of the group and, sure enough, there was the normal pyromaniac Marcus clutching his hand with a hole in the table. Charlie quickly got up and went over to him. “Marc, what were you trying to do?” He looked at the 13 year old who muttered something about smoke bombs. Charlie got him up and took him to a water pipe. He filled a bowl and put the boy’s hand in the cold liquid.“How many times do I have to tell you? You keep using too much gunpowder. You only need enough to cause a small flash.” He shook his head as the boy kept his eyes down. Charlie sighed a bit and ruffled the kid’s hair. “Hey, I’m not mad just you should try to calm down with this stuff. Keep your hand in the water. I’ll get some burn salve.” He walked away from the boy and back towards the back of the room.WORDS 401 TAGS @nim NOTES you're fine, gave me some ideas where to go with this LAIKA OF GS!

"you know i'm bad, i'm bad, i'm really really bad" MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | bellamy jumped slightly at the unannounced disruption, almost falling off of her seat, if you could even call it that. the teenager grimaced, teeth gritted before jumping off the ledge. the blonde supposed it was too late to even wish for some peace now, and with a reluctant sigh, she figured that she'd better get downstairs before anything worse happened. from the sounds of it, one of the younger kids was probably trying to set something on fire, or at least cause an explosion.
with a quick step she made her way to the stairs, a creak punctuating her every step, until --
she stumbled over something (a trip wire?), regaining her balance quickly but not before something rained on her head. she took the worst possible scenario, letting out a short yell before she realized it was only downy white chicken feathers. bellamy brushed the feathers off of her shoulders and head as best as she could, before slowly walking down the rest of the stairs, making sure to keep on the lookout for any other traps a certain someone might have placed. after reaching the landing, she looked around for a certain head of bright red hair.
"charlie..." she said, the tone of her voice just loud enough that everyone could hear. the younger kids in the room fell into a hush, knowing that she meant some kind of business. "i don't appreciate the little gift you left me on the stairs," she called out, hands on hips. she wasn't terribly annoyed, of course, but anyone would be to some degree, seeing as this had not happened once, not twice, but many, many times before. wasn't it okay to let her be just a lil annoyed? |

Charlie found the burn salve for the kid and was heading back when he heard his name ring through the whole room though it wasn’t spoken very loud. He looked up to see feathers floating down the stairs and Scarlett standing there, some feathers still in her light hair. “Oops. Hey cap’n. That, uhm… that wasn’t really meant for you. I put that up hours ago.” He still has the salve in his hand and started making his way back over to Marc, his eyes never leaving the girl who looked to be rather cross with him. “Hey, at least it wasn’t water or honey this time.”He’d really messed up last time. His last prank had had honey shooting out of an air cannon right onto her face and chest. He’d had to run like hell to get away from her then. That was partly the reason this prank was so mundane. He didn’t want another repeat of running for his life. He got back to the pyromaniac and pulled his hand from the water. He dried it carefully and began applying the thick, yellow goop onto the burn. The boy hissed and shut his eyes but he’d been through this several times before. Charlie finished putting it on him before looking back up at Scarlett.“So, am I going to have to run again or are you just going to get even and call us square this time?” He was prepared to run but he really didn’t want to. He’d already done plenty of it today and was ready to just relax for a bit. He could feel the eyes of the others on him and her as they stood a few feet apart. He watched her ready to dash but hoping he didn’t have to.WORDS 298 TAGS @nim NOTES LAIKA OF GS!
