Brynne
Divine Goddess of Hryst Brynne glows with beauty and life with hair as white as the snow and eyes that shine like emeralds. Her form is graceful, elegant, and fearfully gorgeous. She has come from very far away and from many, many years and kingdoms passed. Her arm is strong and her hand is steady in the leadership of her people. She is both gentle and vengeful, wise and compassionate. A smile graces her face at the thought of those that take refuge underneath her and their happiness in following her lead. She is a promoter of the righteous, a believer in the just, and steadfast in honor and glory. She is both mother and warrior, leader and caretaker, breaker and healer. On the Religion:
Though very accepting of her own wonder, Brynne is not one to entertain the thought of having people worship her. She doesn't require the attention. Her only need is that those that follow her continue to do so - trusting, and loving. Houses of prayer are in each and every town in Hryst, quite a few large ones in Aster, for those to call up to her in their time of need, seeking direction when they are lost. As a timeless promise to all her children that she is ever-watching, Brynne erupted stones from the ground with glowing glyphs of protection to ward off the Amon Arakh, very large and extremely dangerous predators of the plains and valleys. The runes still glow with life when her children run behind them for safety. Brynne's only desire is for her people to know who she is and to trust her as she ensures the wealth of both soil and ore within their lands.

Grayson
Speaker Nineteen percent snark and eighty-one percent reckless, Grayson has a heart of gold hidden by a rough exterior. Willing to stand his ground and fight to the end rather than run away, he has a tendency to get into more trouble that he can often handle. As Brynne's Speaker, he knows that his purpose is to be there for the people of Hryst, and he tries his hardest. If someone in need calls out to the Speaker of the Goddess Brynne, Grayson won't be far behind. While he is not completely trusting of everyone in the country, if someone managed to earn his full trust, they would have a friend for life in Grayson.

UPDATE : POWERS AND GIFTS I'm quotting Ger on this - doing the same for both Brynne and Jag. There will be one up for all gods shortly as well! I have decided to clarify exactly what is going on in the mind of the goddess. I'll do my best to give you a foundation of what is easily acceptable. ORIGINS OF POWERS: Every power in all of Hryst is given by Brynne. That's it. All of them come from her. There are no other options; no mechanical amplification or ritual or insignia based magics without Brynne's involvement. Now, Brynne can offer a bloodline trait to a family who has shown loyalty or exemplary service. However, there are provisos to these "bloodline traits." - The power follows all other rules set forth personally to the family by Brynne.
- The gifted must follow the goddess with strong and devout faith. Without the family's faith in her blessing, she cannot allow the powerful family to flourish in her name for the greater good.
- Should the gifted ever use the gifts in ways that do no represent Brynne's ideals, she will begin to weaken the gift and, possibly, even remove the entirety of it. You can use this as a plot point if you so chose but keep in mind, using one of Brynne's bloodline gifts to cheat, kill, and raise chaos will not bring her heart joy or peace.. and she will step in the way to ensure that the latter remains precident in her lands.
LIMITATIONS OF POWERS :One Person : One Power If you make one character for Hryst, you have one scope your powers are in, kind of like an element or affinity. You can only have this one affinity. Example: If you are granted the gift of FIRE where you can summon or bend the element with will, you won't be able to add on any gift outside of the main idea. So you can't freeze anything or grow yourself fifty feet or tangle people in vines at your command. However, you will be able to add branches to your ability, like going from only being able to shoot fire to ones with spectacular abilities like melting weapons. The strength of each power will be still mortal. You do not rival the Gods with any gift, no matter what it might be, because the Gods are trying to keep another Empire catastrophe from happening. Hence the dividing of powers among individuals. Brynne offers gifts to those with futures she see can change for the better with a little 'push'. This means that people don't necessarily have to be aligned 'good' to gain a gift from the goddess. It's either the 'push' they need, or she is known to gift those that already have faith and love of the nation they live in. She will be carefully judging the hearts of the people abilities are given to; she will not grant a violent gift to an overly aggressive personality because fire and gasoline are not friends. ~*~*~*~*~*~ I believe this is the only stipulations that I have. If someone brings something to my attention I will correct this. Thank you very much. (Again, quotted from Ger's template and personalized for Brynne!)
